Met EDDIOWENS, Mr. Oliver, her husband, Bruce, her son, and Rachelle, her baby girl on the same block, Cypress Street in East Palo Alto, CA in 1960. My first job was babysitting Bruce and Rachelle. Later, David, her son and Jennifer, her baby girl. I have wonderful memories of them all. EDDIOWENS was a beautiful, smart, and very organized lady. She influenced my style of dress and encouraged college graduations.

To Ruth, Rachelle, David, Jennifer and all family members, Eddieowens will be missed by so many. She meant a lot to my family the Armstrongs, our friendship goes back to the late 50s. I can remember our visit to Palo Alto when Eddie first move there, the work and efforts she put into her house turned it into a warm cozy place called home. Every summer vacation from high school I spent on Cypress, I loved it, I loved her and I loved her family. May God send comfort and peace to you with all the memories that will brighten your hearts. Rest in Heaven Eddieowens.
