Ed Holly was a fine man I started working for the railroad in the winter of 2007 on ts-24 one of the first men I met was Ed and at first he sure was intimidating lol after getting to know him better their were some things you didn’t do around him 1. Never ever surprise him with a possum the man would come unglued haha! And 2nd don’t come to work with a bad attitude! Eddie was a giant teddy bear a man that was loved by all who worked with him he was the unspoken father of the gang you had a problem you went to Ed you needed something you went to Ed  I have since left the railroad and have thought about him often he will always have a place in my heart as a man who was larger than life and could make you laugh at anytime
Such a great man lost way too soon! He truly was a great man in every sense of the word stepping into roles without question and treating everyone with kindness. Thinking of you all through this tough time!
So sorry  that I can't be at the celebration of life today.   Big Ed and I had just talked on the phone 2 days before, and laughed and laughed.  I  have always considered him my best friend.  I am recovering from covid-19 which is why I can't be there.  I am so sorry for your loss.  The world has lost a great guy

You were the quiet, calm presence in a room full of chaos. Yet, your laugh would ignite any room, and make everyone smile. You are already so missed, and will be forever!
