Eddie's obituary
Eddie Andrew Haugen
July 11, 1964 – June 18, 2025
Eddie Andrew Haugen, 60, of Shoreline, WA, passed away on June 18, 2025. Born on July 11, 1964, in Seattle, Washington, Eddie grew up with an adventurous spirit and a deep love for the outdoors that would shape his life’s journey.
From an early age, Eddie was drawn to the water. He spent countless days fishing, camping, and enjoying time with his friends at Goss Lake, often with his loyal dog, Barney, by his side.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Eddie pursued a career in commercial fishing in Alaska. He captained his own vessel, fishing for wild Alaskan salmon. His hard work, loyalty, and warm spirit touched the lives of many.
Eddie was a man of quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, and a warm heart. He valued friendship deeply, maintained close bonds with his friends and extended family, and had a gift for making those around him feel welcome and at ease. Whether sharing a story from his days at sea or sitting around a campfire, Eddie lived fully in the moment and encouraged others to do the same.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Tom Haugen. Eddie is survived by his loving mother, Anne Haugen, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of close friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Eddie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach, 18354 8th Ave NW, Shoreline, WA 98177. All who knew Eddie are invited to join in honoring his memory, sharing stories, and celebrating the life of a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he loved.
