It was with deep sadness that I received a call letting me know that my dear friend had passed away unexpectedly. Eddie was a wonderful, caring loving person always willing to listen and give advice, he was someone that I had always looked up to, we had many fun adventures some of the best were him calling and saying hey let's go out to the Lake, traveling out to Whidbey Island to go to Goss Lake, that was his Happy place and mine as well, I am sure it's up in the hundreds, I will always remember and cherish all the time that we spent together, you will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Love your Buddy Steven, I will see you again on the other side. 💕 🇳🇴

The Rehfeld family, Pat, Mark, and Matthew, enjoyed the good fortune of being nextdoor neighbors of Eddie and his parents Tom and Anne for 17-years. We treasure an abundance of memories of having Eddie in our lives. He was always a joy with an endearing smile, happy spirit, and always kind-hearted. We first met Eddie when he was six years old and Mark was five. Soon after we moved next to the Haugens', there was a knock at our door and the cutest little blonde boy asked "Can your kid come out and play?" That was the beginning of a lifelong friendship between Eddie and Mark. In recent years, Mark and his wife Penny enjoyed being with Eddie many times at Ed's happy place at Goss Lake while fishing, lunching, and laughing together. We are heartbroken. Eddie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Sail high, fog man.
Though I really only knew you from my dad's stories, it hurts all the same knowing you are now gone. I spent many days as a child at your lake property, floating around on The Conundrum with my father, your fellow fog man, as well as my mother, my sister, and sometimes even Opa. I know you meant a lot to my dad, so keep him outta trouble, alright?
