He dropped everything to drive my daughters and most of my grandsons (we shared 1 - Jacob) to visit our new adventure Bristol Skateway. He wanted them all to be safe. Greatest person ever! You will be remembered and missed every day. ♥️♥️♥️
I remember in 1978 or maybe 1979 living with Eddie & Deana.. Leslie (my daughter ) was about 2 1/2 yrs old..I had got a portrait sitting ..cant remember where is for..but we had planned to have the grandkids picture done for Mama & Daddy...we were so excited..it was going to be Lorri, Traci , Eddie and Leslie. On the day of the sitting I get home only to find my child ( Leslie) had decided to CUT her hair ...not just a little bit but all of the front ..straight to her scalp!..I was crying and asking WHY..Deana was holding her in front of the mirror asking her where did all her pretty hair go to..we were a hot crying mess...and then...in walked my dear brother Eddie who told us all to Hush ..he then took Leslie into the bathroom and came out a few minutes later and POOF I was in shock you couldn't even tell she had cut her hair my dear brother styled her hair with barrettes and all looked normal and we piled the kids in the car and off we went ..the picture turned out beautifully. This is just a small memory of just how great he was he never raised his voice nor fussed ...well except to tell us to settle down as it Would be ok...he smiled through it All.. That Smile of his was so Contagious!! ..no matter how crazy things would be he could always find a way to turn things around and find the good where you thought it didn't exist....I'm going to miss him so much but I promise to think of him and Smile as he would.. I love you Eddie your little sis Lillie Ann ......................................... Gosh this brought back so many more memories... another one I remember of him was when we lived in Jacksonville ( can't remember the year the year) but it was at Christmas time and Eddie had decorated his car with Christmas lights hooking them to the battery and him, Deana, me driving around town with the car ALL DECKED out for Christmas and the lights all over the car twinkling and him laughing every time someone honked the horn and waved ... these are just a few of those memories that made me smile just thinking of his humor and quick thinking to make everyone else smile. I am going to miss being able to just call and talk things out with him when things get tough or I just need to hear an update on everyone or just his calming voice .... I thank god for allowing me to talk to him on Friday afternoon , we had a long talk covering how everyone was doing, politics , hunting and his 1st deer of the season and he told me how proud he was of me and how great I was doing since moving to Kansas and we both laughed , joked and said we loved each other and we would talk again before Christmas. I will hold that conversation in my memory for ever. ...Love you my dear brother, your little sister Lillie Ann
