Eddi's obituary
Eddi was born and raised in Squamish B.C where he had a love for the outdoors, particularly riding his dirt bikes around the dirt roads of town and in the mountains causing a ruckus. He loved playing out in the bush, shooting guns, camping, and rallying his green dodge Dakota truck while playing tunes on his beloved sound system. If he couldn’t ride in his truck, he was racing RC cars with the boys. He had his first boy Quentin Herity in 1997 at the age of 19.
While he had a decent beginning of life, it didn’t come without any struggles. Eddi lost his father Edgar Leland Rogers at the age of 15. He lost countless others as life continued and started paying tribute to them by getting their initials tattooed on his back. He soon realized he would run out of space; a bittersweet joke he’d often laugh about.
He moved to Alberta in 2007, worked the rigs and got married in 2008, and children Keira and Robbi in 2009, and 2011, respectively.
As much as Eddi is loved, he continuously struggled with addiction issues for most his adult life. Sometimes doing good, sometimes doing bad. While he had intent to face his demons and rise above, his demons eventually overruled. His addiction, his demons, were not him.
Eddi is remembered for his incessantly stupid stubbornness, his belief that he was “always right” no matter what you told him, his quick temper like a duel in old west movies, his massive amounts of love for those that mattered to him, his no brainer attitude to help anyone in times of need, his big hugs from “Uncle Eddi” and his lazy eye when he fully smiled. His despise of any kind of authority; whether it be parents, loved ones, boss’ or cops. His love of guns and anything that went boom, his ability to fix anything mechanical, his soft heart yet rough and tough exterior, his humor, and his annoying ability to make family and friends smile when they really didn’t want to, his love for Iron Maiden; Eddi the Beast and Harley Davidsons, his hilarious maybe not the best decision adventures with the boys, his good Ole days when Eddi was Eddi.
Eddi Fkn Rogers is loved and will be dearly missed by so many that knew him.
Eddi, may you Rest in Peace – watch over your children and be with them like you so wanted in life. You are now free with no more suffering or pain. We love you
