Earlene's obituary

Earlene Patricia “Pat” Bush passed away peacefully, while receiving ongoing care and comfort from her family, on April 10, 2022.


Pat was born on April 17, 1946 in Spencer, Oklahoma. She graduated from Dundjee High School in Spencer, Oklahoma in 1964. Pat worked in both health care and telecommunications industries for most of her life, working to at the Lucent Technologes/AT&T/Western Electric plant in Oklahoma City until she retired.   On January 16, 1967 she married her friend and steadfast companion, Elwood Wesley Bush. She and her husband made the Oklahoma City suburbs their home, where she raised their children: Matthew, Ricky, Orlando, Robin, Renee and Rita.

When Pat had Matthew, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Pat was a passionate taking care of her family, shopping, traveling, visiting casinos, decorating, reading and solving crossword puzzles. We will miss her greatly.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Bush, who passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2018; grandparents, Henry and Lear Mae Cooper (whom she called “Momma and Daddy”); parents, Elmer and Lucille Stevens; father, Carroll Douglas; brothers, Elmer Stevens, Jr. and Joseph Stevens; sister, Jeanetta Stevens; sister- and brother-in-law: Harriet Bush, James Bush, Glendale Bush and Frank Bush, Jr.  She is survived by her children: Matthew Bush, Ricky Bush, Orlando Bush, Robin Bush, Renee Bush and Rita William; twenty-two grandchildren: Tiaunna Bush, Janae Bush, Taylor Bush, Mateo Bush, Sharita Wilson, Ricky Cameran Bush, Neko Bush, Chloe Johnson, Tierra Mosley, LausDeo DeRamus, DaMitri Bush, Orlandria Bush, Gzeramee Bush, Jackson Wesley Lynwood, DeAngelo Vaca-Bush, Allie Bush, Lexi Bush, Kyle Bush, Tevin Bush, Michel Jones, Kristin Bush and Dayton Bush; thirty great grandchildren.
