Earl Edwin Poole Jr., 62, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on July 23, 2025. A true son of the Suwannee River, Earl lived life on his own terms, wild and unapologetic. He loved cane pole fishing, raising hell, and chasing good times wherever they led.

Known for his sharp wit and sharper schemes, Earl had a knack for finding trouble—and fun. He spent time both on the riverbank and behind bars, never losing his free spirit or quick smile. He was a conman with a storyteller’s charm, the kind of man who could make you laugh even when you knew better.

Earl didn’t follow the rules, but he sure knew how to enjoy the ride. He leaves behind a legacy of tales, some tall and some true, and friends and family who will remember him with a shake of the head and a smile.

Earl leaves behind his children April Mitchell, Tony Thomas, Sheena Poole, and Jordan Harris; his grandchildren Aroura Thomas, Josef Mitchell, Ian Mitchell, Kacey Mitchell, Oliver Mitchell, Payton Harris, Conner Harris, and Jamarion Jones ; and his great-grandchild Sage Mitchell.

A private gathering will be held by the Suwannee River, where his stories will live on.
