Earl B. Hopkins of Columbus Ohio passed away on May 18, 2020. After studying at PSI Institute for computers, Earl's entrepreneurial spirit lead him to starting his own lawn care business , where he serviced both private homes and larger corporations like Big Bear grocery stores. His main passion laid in serving his church. He filmed services and spent late hours in channel 21's recording studio, helping his church reach people in their own homes through television. Earl was a evangelizer, preaching outside and leaving every person he talked to with his phrase "If you ever get a chance, visit a penacostal church where they baptize in Jesus name". He was also a school bus driver for Columbus Public Schools. Later in life, Earl used technology again to evangelize. He wrote 365 short bible lessons for every day of the year, and posted them to his facebook page and Christian blog. His favorite pass times were playing with his kids and speaking with people.
Earl is survived by 9 children who he had with Mary Hopkins, Nathaniel, Joshua, Angel , Mary, Earl, Matthew, Dallas, Daniel, Jacob, 7 grandchildren, Katie, Alexa, Desaray, Jason, Dokota, Alexis, Brianna, his sister Patricia, his ex-step kids Rhiannon and Michael, children of Barbara. He also shared a special relationship with Cathy.
Memorial service will be held at First Pentecostal Church 421 Dakota Ave, Columbus, OH 43223 on May 29th 2020 at 4pm. Then another at
Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse 927 Monroe Ave, Wurtland, KY 41144 on May 30th at 6pm.
