Grandma Eadie was so special. She made such an impact in the world and on everyone's lives around her. She loved helping others. So inspiring to see all the work she’s done over the years and I’m proud to be her granddaughter.

I'll always remember our trips around NYC like when we saw the Alexander McQueen exhibit or just simply having a good ol slice of pizza. She always showed me around the city and gave me new experiences that I'll always remember. She would always meet me at grand central and I can still picture her in the crowd waving to me as I got off the train.

Sending my love and condolences to everyone ❤️

Eadie and I became friendly after the Albert Shanker Institute was founded in Washington. At either an AFT or a NYSUT Conference the Institute unveiled a memorial sculpture to honor Al Shanker. But it would reside in Washington so Eadie would not be able to see it regularly. She wanted photographs of it, but the UFT photographer had already left, George Altomare knew I had a good camera and found me. They asked me to take a roll of photos from every conceivable angles. Which I did and sent them off to Eadie. This was before the rise of digital cameras. After that we often found each other and sat with each other at AFT and NYSUT Conventions in the General Hall. We also liked to shop together for jewelry at the Native American Jewelry Booth at Conventions. We owned some similar pieces. Once we serendipitously ran into each other on the Washington DC Metro. I miss her companionship and enthusiasm. She was a joy to be with. With my condolences to her family.
