Dylan's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that I announce the passing of Dylan Driessens, who was born on October 31, 1998, and passed away on June 25, 2022. Dylan was a unique and vibrant individual who had a direct impact on all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Dylan who was just 23yrs young has been formally declared deceased and no longer with us but is still missing, taken from us way to early, before really having lived an making life his own.  Not having any kids of his own He  is survived by his loving mother, Mandy Driessens, and his proud brothers, Jayden and Darian Baxter Joel Driessens. They, along with all who knew Dylan, will miss his unique spirit and zest for life dearly. With his warm heart and caring nature towards  friends and above all his family especially his connections he had with his brother's but the ultimate connection with his mum which is and will be missed.

Dylan was a man who loved simple pleasures. Pizza was his favorite food, and he also enjoyed Bundy Rum, pretend coke, and footlong and he loved strawberry milk. He had an eclectic taste in music with Little Wayne, 360  and Kerser being his favorite. His love for movies was quite apparent as he cherished films like 'Fast and the Furious' and 'Wolf Creek' and "Snakes on a Plane".

Listening to music and indulging in activities people might not approve of were his preferred recreational pursuits. These activities, often misunderstood by others, were reflections of Dylan’s fondness for living life on his own terms.

Despite his initial quiet and shy demeanor, those who got to know Dylan found a friendly, polite, and caring individual who brought joy and laughter to their lives. He was fond of the color red, a color often associated with passion and zest for life, reflecting his personality accurately.

Throughout his life, Dylan’s philosophy was grounded in authenticity. He firmly believed in living life true to oneself and not faking anything for the sake of societal expectations. A lasting lesson he imparted to those around him was- ‘Live your life how you want to.’ This ethos, which he lived by every day, will continue to inspire and guide all who knew him.

Dylan's untimely demise is a somber reminder of the fleeting nature of life. Yet, his spirit and the lessons he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones. His memory will always serve as a beacon of authenticity and unapologetic individualism. I  still endeavour to bring him home one day to lay him to rest
