Dwight Sanders Sr., was born on August 5, 1946 in Paragould AR to Charlie and Louetta Sanders.  He left this world on June 10, 2024.  

Dwight graduated in 1964 in St Louis MO.  He began dating Barbara Ann Schaefer in 1961 and they married in 1964.

He spent nearly 20 years in St Paul, MN working in the maintenance department at Apostolic Bible Institute.  He retired from there in 2013 and relocated to Poplar Bluff, MO where he lived until his passing.

He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, eating good food, riding his motorcycle and collecting knives.  He loved his church and church family and was always looking forward to the day he made it home.

Dwight is survived by his children, Dwight Jr ( Lesia),  Bonnie Crocker ( Travis), Michelle Deaton ( Bobby) and Scott  Sanders ( Erin).  Also he leaves behind many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He also will be missed by  his favorite sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Bob Cole.

Dwight was predeceased by his beloved spouse, Barbara Sanders. Their love story was one of true partnership and mutual respect. Their journey together shaped them both, leaving behind cherished memories that will be forever etched in the hearts of their children.

Dwight's celebration of life gathering will be June 14, 2024 at Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.  5-7:30pm  will be a time to visit and share memories. At 7:30 there will be  a few brief words from Bishop Jerry Williams and Pastor Dustin Williams.
