Oh Almighty and loving Father, we praise and thank You for Who You are!

Our hearts are heavy, we are grieving, and are saddened by the "Home-going" of our beloved Dee. Yet, we thank You, O God, for Your faithful precious servant Dee - for her lovely life, and for all those beautiful years we had with her!

Our darling niece Dee, thank you for also being so sweet, loving and caring. We love you so dearly, will truly miss you, and cherish fond memories of you.

May you bask in God's love for you, as you enjoy perpetual rest and peace☮️ with Him.

We pray 🙏🏾 O God, that You will continue to bless, and grant solace, strength and peace to our darling Sister Dwedor, Brother Chris, our grand-niece (Dee’s daughter )Mckinysli, our nieces, nephews, cousins, our entire family, and friends.

Seeing this hurts me. Miss your smile and laugh. You welcomed me when I was in TN at church and then I was excited when you were at A&T. A good friend and soul. God called you to bless heaven with your grace ❤️

My name is Dr. Robert Lindsey and I am a Professor of Health Education/Sport Management at Johnson C. Smith University.

I truly want to share my condolences to the Ford Family. Dee truly was a gift from God. I met her when she was teaching at North Carolina A & T at the NC Shape Conference. When I realized that she had a passion for teaching and research as I did, we bonded like brother and sister. 

I wrote her letter for Tenure at Prairie View and she wrote my letter for different adjunct positions. Recently, through her hard work, we had a publication published in the NC Shape Journal. She was also a sounding board to myself for all of the challenges that we were both going through in higher education. 

Dee was a treasure to all of us in the Sport Management field and a treasure to McKynsli.

She will truly be missed to all of us.
