Dj's obituary
Duwayne Thomas also known as “Dj” unexpectedly passed away after a tragic Shooting occurred in his neighborhood on June 03, 2022 . His loss was completely unexpected and the Friends and family are still deeply saddened and in shock.
Dj was born on July 20, 1997 and was raised in Long beach California where he was raised by Elliot and Anna Lewis, Dj attended Vanguard Middle school and was passionate about sports like basketball. After graduating high school at Centennial High Dj stayed with family all over South LA were everyone loved him the most. He was mainly around Jared and Jason.
He worked as a utility worker at Starbucks for a good amount of time then he became a TSA agent for a couple years, he seemed to really enjoy that job the most, after that he worked at Catalyst for another good amount of time where he created a great amount of memories and outstanding relationships. One person in particular was Dulce Reyes. Most others never really seen the love side of DJ but he really loved Her, talked about her as much as he wanted to. His words were “we gotta double date one day, my girl hella down, she drive me brazy but she bool”.
Dj spent time some of his time Volunteering at local Recreational Parks such as Magic Johnson Park, Campanella Park and Most of All Enterprise Park, if he wasn't doing that he was walking someones dog, he loved animals. Anyone who knew Dj, knew that he was always clowning around, he was selfless with anything and everything he had, he is always the one calm situation down, always want everyone to relax, he was very passionate about life and how his past would never define him. Besides sport and videos games Dj loved to smoke Weed like no other haha and was always a source of it, Dj would roll in 1 minute always making sure everyone is faded along with him Hahaha. His favorite words to say was “Yessirsky” “ On Phillies” “ gg” “im bool” Dj’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
Contributions in memory of Dj can be made by Just doing things just from the kindness of your heart because that was simply Dj. There wasn't Funeral Held in his Honor Due to the nature of the Passing but he will always be remembered in our Hearts Forever
