Durga's obituary
Durga Magnetta Devi
A beautiful soul left her physical body in August 2025. Although we know Durga’s soul is exactly where it needs to be on its spiritual journey, those of us left behind can’t help but feel her absence and our great sadness at her passing. But transcending all other emotions, we overflow with immense love and gratitude for Durga’s selfless generosity in sharing her psychic gifts and wisdom. She was a bright light guiding us to find our way in this lifetime.
An Intuitive Reader, Medium, talented artist, author, and loving mother to Ritz, the well-dressed chihuahua, Durga trained under Sandy Anastasi to hone her intuition and ability to channel loved ones. She relocated from New England to Los Angeles and dedicated the past 20 years to helping mere mortals remember our divinity. She described her work as helping people obtain freedom from obstacles and facilitate happiness. We just knew she was always there to help us through even our hardest times, her empathy and guidance reminding us that a miracle was just around the corner if we would just keep going. Durga was a true healer, encouraging us when we’d lost hope or faith. She helped us regain our trust in life by reminding us of how full of love and important we are. We knew she could see farther and sense the spirit world stronger than we were able. Through her gifts as a Medium, Durga helped so many of us reconnect with our loved ones who had crossed over. Of course, now that we feel the need for encouragement and wisdom to bear our loss as we yearn to connect to our departed friend, we would normally call Durga to facilitate the connection! Beloved guru, we acutely feel your absence.
Durga, you gave us so much: your unconditional love, your spiritual insight. This tribute is to give back to YOU our gratitude and love from your devoted friends and clients from around the world. THANK YOU, Durga, beautiful friend and inspirational teacher. Thank you for being the very best of us that are sent to Earth to do everything in their power to leave it and its inhabitants, so much better than they found it.
Through our tears, we wish you well on the next step on your spiritual journey. We will look for you in nature, in the vortexes of your beloved Sedona, and each time we remember the guidance and love you shared with us.
Bon voyage dear Durga. We salute the god in you and will try our best to remember the god in us. We love you. Until we meet again….
