Dunovan's obituary

Dunovan "Big D" Wallace, age 41, passed away on September 29, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 10, 1983, in San Antonio, Texas, he brought immense joy to those around him, and our lives are forever impacted, just by being in his presence.

Dunovan was no stranger to adversity, even at an early age. He proved himself brave and victorious through many challenges including kidney failure, dialysis, kidney transplant, collapsed lungs, a stroke and ultimately his battle with cancer, this last year. Throughout his life, he never let the challenges define who he was or how he approached life. Dunovan has gifted us with memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. His unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew him. As his nickname of "Big D" suggests, he exuded a larger-than-life personality and never knew a stranger. He instantly made friends with ordinary people and celebrities alike; he had a special knack for connecting with just about anyone. His greatest joys in life were watching sports, especially the collegiate careers of his MVHS friends, NASCAR, spending time with his nephews and Brittany, Disneyland, and traveling with his family.  Dunovan is survived by his loving parents, Don and Patty, his sisters, Caylinn and Devon, his partner Brittany, extended family and countless friends, who will forever cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life to honor Dunovan's life will be held on November 2, 2025 at Mount of Olives Lutheran Church, in Mission Viejo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society in memory of Dunovan.

May Dunovan rest in eternal peace, free from pain, and may his memory continue to bring comfort to those who mourn his passing. We ask those who loved him  to "Live Like D!"

Please join us in remembering and celebrating Dunovan's life.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Wallace Family
