Duane,

You meant more to me than words can really say. You taught me so much and opened my world in ways I never expected. You were there when I needed someone most, always pushing me to do more, to go, to experience life, and to say yes to things I never would have before.

We created so many memories together and explored more of this world than I ever thought I would. You were my travel buddy, my adventure partner, and one of the best friends I’ve ever had.

But more than anything, it was us—the conversations, the everyday connection, the way we were always part of each other’s lives no matter where we were… and I’ll miss that every single day.

I’ll save you a spot by the fire.
