Duane's character was best defined by his infectious humor and irrepressible love for others. His teachings of unconditional love regardless of reciprocation, remain as invaluable lessons for all. His accomplishments varied from being an industrious worker to a doting father, a devoted husband, and an extraordinary Poppy.
He took immense joy in working around his home and in his garden. Him and Dona have many flowers and animals they cared for. Among these things he loved all animals but especially his chickens, ducks, rabbits, his dog (Sugar), and all their wild life, he loved his hunting shows, car shows, love of vintage hot rods, and photography. Duanes love of all his grandkids was top of his list of what he loved most, they all held a special place in his heart. His tenacity saw him through every challenge, and he accomplished everything he set his mind to. He may have worried himself through it but with the help of Dona and God he was able to take on any challenge.
Duane's legacy is one of love. To know him was to love him, and to know him was to be loved by him. His "Dad jokes", appropriate for any occasion and every situation, will be sorely missed. He had the incredible gift of making people laugh and ensuring their happiness. He always knew how to inspire and lift you up.
We remember Duane for his undying love, witty sense of humor, and ever-loving presence. He will be sorely missed and forever loved.
