Walter's obituary

Dr. Walter Glenn Jagger, 67, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2022. The family is both devastated and shocked by his death. Glenn was born on September 16th, 1954 at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, NJ to Walter Robert Jagger and Doris Weldon Jagger.

After graduating from Cedar Grove Memorial High School in 1973, he went on to study Biology at Marietta College in Ohio. During college, he spent his summers working at The Manor in West Orange, NJ. After graduating from undergrad in 1977, he went on to pursue his masters degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University. There, he received his masters degree in human anatomy. He then went on to medical school and received his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jagger, and two children, Alexander Walter Jagger and Hailey Ashlyn Jagger. As well as his brother, Dr. Kenneth Lee Jagger, cousins, nieces and nephews, patients, and many dear friends.

Glenn’s antics were legendary and those who knew him have their own stories to tell. He was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of Alex and Hailey and always tried his best to support them. Glenn was passionate about animals and never stopped loving his 4 cats and 3 dogs. Additionally, he loved going on fishing trips with his pals and spending weekends down the shore.

Burial services will be private for immediate family. A Celebration of Life & Memorial Service will take place on October 9th, 2022 at the Women’s Club of Upper Montclair, 200 Cooper Avenue, Montclair, NJ, 07043 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please RSVP to: glennjaggermemorial@gmail.com. Flowers can be sent to The Women’s Club of Upper Montclair for the Celebration of Life & Memorial Service; addressed to the Jagger Family. All donations can be made to the ASPCA in honor of his life.
