Forever in my thoughts and mind. I know you are there, Grandpa.
Thinking of you, Mrs. Betty, and your family today. You’ve been on my mind. Would love to talk with you about getting my PhD. I remember your story about staying in the lab all weekend and falling asleep as you showed your advisor that you FINALLY had everything worked out with your research. Your dedication inspires me to keep going. In who you were as a scientist and as a person and Christian. ❤️
You were always my biggest cheerleader. Forever you live on.

I was informed much later of Perry's passing. However, I was very sad when made aware of it.
Perry was great friend, colleague, and mentor. He was the reason I wanted to come to Mobil. Never regretted that decision. Through him, I met so many great people.
What a great man!

I am John Wilson. I revered Perry Kirklin!!! His son, Perry III was my best friend in High School. I have now watched the memorial service, having recently received a Facebook post from Cheryl. I very much want to give to the Village Committee, but I want to hear from Cheryl, Perry or Pam first. My email is: jsilvanuswilson@gmail.com

There have been so many memories generated in what I consider a short period of time we can share. First and foremost Kirklin Family, please know that we continue to pray Gods Grace and Peace continue to be multiplied unto each of you.

The more we spent time in the presence of Dr. Kirklin, the more we realized he was much so more than just Dr. Kirklin as we would acknowledge him. He was so smooth in his swag you knew it was something different about him.

I have memories of some of the Men Ministries meeting he attended and how he was so willing to give and share his experiences with our Brotherhood fellowship. He wanted to see us grow and excel.

We affectionally called Dr. Kirklin Dad, and Mrs. Kirklin, Ma.

Mercia and I share a new source of energy and honored to serve the family and receive and share the love he showed to soooo many. We reminisce from time to time and are so thankful to be apart of his journey here in our lives, because of the missions he accomplished, we were able to go back and get some real history on our journey from our homeland of Africa, for that alone, we will always be grateful.

RIP Nanna Baffoe II

a brief memory of our afterno…
2009, The Holy Land Experience, Vineland Road, Orlando, FL, USA
a brief memory of our afternoon visiting the Holy Land theme park, which Uncle Perry hosted for us. Again, many treasured pictures -- but none specifically with him -- but we still remember.
So many fond memories over the years, as I look back through my photos and remember many fun activities which Uncle Perry captured the photos for us of the occasion. And as is often the case --- we don't have any pictures with the PHOTOGRAPHER!!!

But we certainly remember the joy, laughter and good times.

My first visit to Lakeland during Spring Break, around April 2009 ( I think) was a most delightful visit.
We had our picture with the Lakeland Swan and also visited the Holy Land Experience ; as I know many others also shared such occasions.

I hope others will also share their pictures with the Swan and remind us also of special memories visiting my dear uncle and aunt in Lakeland!

To the Kirklin family. What a privilege and honor it is to know such a beautiful family. Dr Perry Kirklin was such an inspiration to my life. I appreciate all of the wisdom and knowledge that he has left me with. He helped me tremendously in my walk of faith. As a Pastor, many times it’s just not us teaching the flock , but learning from them as well. I learned a lot from Dr Perry Kirklin. To see him maneuver through the church as he got his praise on inspired so many. He will be truly missed, but trust me, he’s in our hearts. To the family, my family, the Pickett’s, love you all. We are here for you when you need us. It means a lot to know that you have true, real friends. And the Kirklin family, you are friends. Stay strong in the Lord, He will see you through. Love E.T. Pickett
Dr. Perry Kirklin led a 30 person delegation of Bucks County (PA) Links and and others to Kuntu Village in Ghana. His commitment, knowledge and compassion were amazing. My husband, daughters and son-in-love send our condolences. 🙏🏽
The first time I met Dr. Perry and Mrs. Betty was in December 2018. I was showing him my chemistry elements keychain and explained the Periodic Table of Elements to him the same way I explained it to my own grandma. I told him how much I enjoyed the discipline of chemistry. It wasn’t until the second visit that I noticed his diploma on the wall of his study: a doctorate in physical chemistry! I left his home that day knowing I could learn a lot from him. The level of humility and compassion he demonstrated was admirable. Every time I was welcomed into their home, I knew I would have meaningful conversations with both Perry and Mrs. Betty. Their marriage and dedication to family, and most of all to God, exemplifies all that is good. I have no doubt in my mind that he has earned his angel wings. He had a comforting confidence about him, like he was proud of where he came from and was sure of where he was going next. And his faith in God helped me strengthen my personal faith, too. Much love and peace to Mrs. Betty, Pam, Cheryl, Perry, Jr, and the rest of his family and many friends. ❤️
