We are  truly shocked and extremely saddened to hear of dr Greco’s passing.

It’s been appx 15 years or more where we found doc to help with a baby pigeon  whose legs were bad . He actually made a splint  for him.

Since we saw how compassionate he was we made him our vet. We had a young calico feral which we took in for help

She had many issues and mainly a chronic ear problem . Dr Greco was  amazing in treating and explaining the plan with us.  He went above and beyond to keep her getting better and even gave his personal number to me to call anytime day or night . I had to reach out numerous times and not once did he not answer my calls when my Rusty was in distress . Be it on family vacation , vet conferences , etc he always responded and could not have been more caring .He treated all our fur babies and we became very good friends . I could go on and on about this wonderful man . When our rusty passed he was there for us and to this day he kept her photo on his bulletin board. Such an honor and such respect for all . We will never forget dr Greco . Our deepest , sincerest condolences to go out to Kathy, his children and  his parents  and whole family. Rest in peace doc  .

Prayers,

Teresa and Marc salvati

I am so very sorry for the loss to the family  as well as all the animals thruout the years. Dr Greco-Roman will always be remembered for the wonderful thing he did to help myself as well as Parrot Rescue New York.org. There are so many wonderful memories where to begin.. First I remember calling the office about a bleeding  rescued African Gray. Dr Greco came on the phone asked how quickly  I could come since he was scheduled to go on a house call, but he said he would wait to help the bird. He did wait and all was well in the end. Dr Greico called  o ne day with lab results on another bird but mentioned  he had just  taken in several  puppies from an SPCA raid, he asked me to come to the Pinewood location to see the puppies and perhaps help place any. My husband and I went and came home with a Maltese that had a bad eye. Well 17 years later we still have that little bundle of love that Dr Greico saved and encouraged use to take. I will never forget holding that little 6 month old dirty stinky dog and the Doc. saying to my husband guess your taking that one home we did.  There are so many  wonderful memories. Dr Greico came to our house to check out our large Koi po d that was having an issue. The Doc was sick but insisted on coming , one by one we removed the fish too give an injection  he had the patience of a saint. He left us more medicine  with instructions, well my husband myself and my daughter needless to say we did it but certainly not as efficiently as the Doc. Another time Dr G  invited us to his home to see his pride and joy his pond, we met Kathy she was welcoming  even though he did not tell her we were coming     from there he took us to where he houses the Koi he brings into breed and sell, he told my husband to pick a few fish to take home. When ever I went to the office he always asked for my husband so then forward my husband came and they always spend some time talking Koi as well as fishing. I could go on for a while about how wonderful  he was , he always helped animals first and addressed payments second. We still have the fish he gave us as well as our wonderful Maltese that he rescued  along with I remember a puppy for his sister, and also a puppy for the boys. He loved his family dearly he always talked about them in such a wonderful loving way. We will miss him greatly.  I have wonderful memories of his generous caring nature.  Kathy I wish you and your family peace in the future knowing he will go on helping forever. Blessings  too you Linda and Warren McGay

Charlie doing what he did best, surgery on one of our Sulcata tortoises. He always loved the difficult cases and took them on as a challenge. — with Dr. Charles Greco III
My Asian Box ( Myrtle the male turtle ) stopped eating and didn't move around his tank much.   Looked up Dr. Greco and made an appointment to check out Myrtle. Dr. Greco gave him an examination and took blood and we waited for the results. I did tell Dr. Greco that if he doesn't improve we would have no choice but to put him down. I didn't want him to suffer. At this time Myrtle was 30 years old and I had just lost my husband. I spoke to Dr. Greco that I didn't want to lose my Myrtle. He told me just pay for the blood work and he would keep Myrtle for two weeks - no charge to me. He did tell me I could come to visit Myrtle anytime, which I did. Dr. Greco told me all life matters. I was so moved by his kindness and grateful that he truly cared about all life.  He was a special soul that we had the opportunity to know and love for his kindness to all life.  My family will always remember his help and compassion for all. He will be greatly missed by those who put their trust in him to help their family pets.  Sincerely, The Witt Family.

Charlie , although I haven’t spoken with you since our school days , your obituary is spot on for how I remember you . I remember your perseverance in your goal of becoming a veterinarian and your love and compassion for all animals . The world lost a kind , compassionate soul . I have very fond memories of Charlie growing up and adventures for the short time that Charlie and Kathy were in Ohio. He had a great sense of humor and always had a plan and story for something. He will truly be missed and his passion for fishing and the water was amazing. My thoughts are with you and the boys Kathy. Ben and I look forward to his remembrance service in the future.
