Aunt Blanche will always be remembered by me as the calm voice.  We would always have family and friends around growing up; good music, food,  playing cards and dominoes everybody talking loud just about every weekend.   I just remember Aunt Blanche would come in and there was a calm, she would kiss and hug everyone ask how things were going sit eat and talk to grandma and her siblings and also talk to us kids.  She would also pray for upu and always invite you to come to her church.  Aunt Blanche you will be missed but we know you are in the hands of the Lord.

Love you Tina

My deepest sympathy, condolences, love and prayers are extended to the entire family of Blanche Cook.  I first became acquainted with Blanche in  the mid-nineties. We were both middle school teachers in Long Beach Unified School District, as well as site facilitators of the Mosiac Program, sponsored  by California State University Long beach. The program was designed to encourage and  promote Black student to attend college. My relationship with Blanch evolved and  expanded as we became curriculum specialists and later administrators. We spent quality time together planning and preparing extensive guided learning experiences for teachers that developed into district wide professional development for the advancement of students.

Most importantly, Blanch and I were strong Christian women who prayed, shared and demonstrated God's Love in our daily lives. Time will not permit me to share of the times that she and I spent together.

Blanche's positive qualities and spirit will live on through the lives of those of us who loved her. Each tear that is shed for Blanch holds immeasurable love. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalms 34:18 ( KJV)

May the peace of God rest rule and abide with you for ever.

Humbly submitted by a long-lasting friend,

Dr. Greta Price

Dr. Blanche Mae Cook was family to me. I have known her for over 40 years and have so many fond memories of her. I shared so many wonderful times with her, we presented at conferences, and worked diligently to earn a doctorate in Education. She was extremely intelligent, thoughtful, sweet, and caring. Blanche called me frequently and prayed for me, my siblings, and other family members.  I will miss her smile and comforting voice here on earth. However, I know she is an angel in heaven, watching over me, her family, and friends, and resting in the bosom of Jesus.

The family is in my prayers at this time of bereavement.  I met Dr Cook over 30 years ago in a professional capacity.   I will always remember how she carried herself as both a professional and a woman of God.
I will miss you Blanche and the prays you would say for me now I will say some for you with love always💕
I met Auntie Blanche for the first time during my college years. I had just started a career in insurance and I needed to practice my sales pitch on a few families. I called Auntie Blanche and asked if I could practice with her and she immediately said "come on up"! During my visit she shared so many different aspects of her life with me. We read Bible verses and prayed together. She gave me a daily prayer journal, which I still have today. We enjoyed each other so much that I ended up staying the night! That was one of the warmest encounters that I've ever experienced and the start of a beautiful relationship. From time to time we would speak over the phone and discuss various topics. Auntie Blanche is such an admirable and remarkable woman. Auntie I love you and you will definitely be missed.
