Born in Pasco Washington August 25, 1963 along with twin brother David. Doug was born first.

Moved to California in 1972. Settled in Petaluma 1975.

Attended Petaluma High School. Played football and participated in Track and Field. Graduated 1981.

Following Graduation Doug attended Oregon State University on a Football Scholarship. After his time with the Beavers he tried out with the Dallas Cowboys.
