Doug would normally come to Drake around this time every year. I was just thinking the other day how he’d swing by and have a chat in just a few weeks. Doug was a talker. He loved talking about his time in Aruba, his time in the cake business, but mostly he loved talking about his kids. At this point I feel like I’ve met them he’s told me so much about them. I’ll always remember Doug as a man who was so proud of his family, especially his children and just one of the most generous, loving, compassionate person I have had the pleasure of getting to know. I know I’m better for having gotten to know Doug over the years.

We are heartbroken over the loss of our wonderful friend, Doug. We will forever treasure all of the memories we’ve shared together on our many stays at Parrot Villa in Aruba. Susan and Douglas were always such gracious hosts, and always ready for new and exciting adventures. We will greatly miss Doug’s smiling face welcoming us at the airport, and his kind and caring presence in our lives.

I'm very very sorry for your loss. He was always very kind and nice with me and my kids. He always ask me about how was doing with my family and work. God work in mysterious ways, we never going understand why. I'm always going to remember him.
