Douglas Alvin Trigg

June 24, 1947- June 3, 2022

Douglas Alvin Trigg, a beloved husband, step-father, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born on June 24, 1947 in Durby, Virginia to Vera and Louis Trigg.

Doug attended college for a couple years and didn’t do well, so he quitted and joined infantry 1967 and was assigned to Vietnam as platoon leader in company C, 2d Battalion, 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division (Airmobile). Doug was recognized with multiple medals as National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal with Vietnam combat Infantryman Badge; Vietnam service medal; Parachutist Badge; Vietnam campaign Medal; Air Medal and Army commendation medal.

After he served in Vietnam, going back to College study became much easier for him. Doug got his BA and continued his MBA. His education helped him land a couple executive positions in the Financial and Health care field and made him live and travel internationally.

Doug loves art. He collects many art pieces. Doug loves sports car and did races with his Red NSX 1998 and enjoyed it very much.

Doug speaks a couple languages and is always curious about other cultures and very open minded. He always mentioned he wanted to visit Ho Chi Minh city but unfortunately due to his illness, he didn’t make it.

Doug had a couple cancer and he faced it calmly. He didn’t fight but danced with it in his strength. He always said he lived a wonderful life.

Doug is survived by his wife, Maggie Trigg; his step children,Silas and Keziah; his older brother Lou Trigg and sister-in-law Carol Trigg. A funeral service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in VA on Dec 4th 2023 at 1PM.
