Douglas's obituary

Douglas John Tadajewski, age 79 of Harrison, Michigan passed into the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ on March 22, 2018, surrounded by his family. Doug was born in Detroit on July 15, 1938 to the parents of Felix and Anne (Nowicki) Tadajewski.
Ever the quick-witted jokester until his final moments, Doug made friends everywhere he went. Always on the move with a passion for traveling, he traversed America coast-to-coast with his beloved wife of 59 years, Kathy, in their motor home. Together they visited 11 countries around the world. Involved in his community, he is best known for his time spent as the adored Cub Scout Master of Pack 488 at St. Suzanne Catholic Church in Detroit.
Doug loved to cook and bake for family and friends during the holidays, for parties and especially the annual Tadajewski Labor Day Picnic where he would go all out with multiple pounds of Polish Kapusta and LBJ Chicken.
He smiled and laughed a lot and was an inspiration to everyone he met on how to get the most out of life. He was proof of that every day and was a gift from God.
Doug is lovingly survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kiseda); Children: Sandra (Polhamus), Kevin and wife, Christine (Posigian); Michelle and husband, Jerry Fredericksen; Nicole and partner, Matt Pekula. Grandchildren: Jason, Patrick, Justin, Brayden, Allison, Felix, Silas, Gwen Warner and Scott Polhamus. Great Grandchildren: Jared, Kayla, Ashli, Daniel and Lily Ann.
A celebration of life will be held for Doug in late July in Harrison, MI, to accommodate all his friends and family traveling from out of town/state. If you would be interested in attending, please email the following address for additional information: dougmemorial2018@gmail.com
