Douglas Mitchel Stiff, aged 63, passed away on July 12, 2024, in Boulder, Colorado. Born on April 19, 1961, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Doug was a cherished presence in the lives of his family and friends.

From his early days, Doug was a remarkable athlete, and his passion for music defined much of his life. He was an avid guitar player and songwriter, often sharing the joy of music with those around him. He was a lifelong fan of CU Buffs football, and he passed down the passion by ONLY purchasing CU Buff apparel for his grandkids.

Doug's kindness and willingness to listen were his defining traits, making him a beloved father, brother, son, cousin and friend. His absence will leave a void in the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his siblings, Jim (Charlene) Adams, Connie (John) Claren, and Nancy (Mark) DeVorss; his children, Kendall Stiff (Sean Varilek), Taylor Stiff (Fabian Chavira), Mackensie Stiff and Jonah Stiff; and his grandchildren, Lennon Varilek, Leona Varilek, Wylder Chavira and Atticus Chavira, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary and Lawrence Stiff and his nephew, Daniel Zelenka.

A memorial service to celebrate Doug's life will be held on September 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Village Seven Presbyterian Church in the Main Sanctuary: 4040 S. Nonchalant Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80917.
