Douglas (Doug) York Powers was born at an Air Force base in England May 21st, 1959.

He transitioned  to his eternal home on January 4th, 2025 in Toledo, Ohio.

He was predeceased by his parents Lowell E. Powers and Emeline Powers, and his brother Gary Powers. 

Douglas York Powers loved the Lord. As a teenager the Lord placed a calling on his life to be a Pastor. He served the Lord by Pastoring New Castle Church of God of Prophecy for 15 years. Later in his life he also Pastored One Faith Fellowship Church for many years.

 Doug was full of life and laughter everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and was the definition of a kid at heart. Doug loved his music, playing his guitars and riding his motorcycles. He had a passion to live life to the fullest and he did! 

He was the best Father to his children Jacob Powers and Samantha Powers and a wonderful brother to Gary Powers and Richard Powers. He cared deeply for his family. He loved with all of his heart and was a kind and funny soul!

 His love for the Lord became his first love again and he did whatever he could to share the gospel to whoever would listen. He never missed an opportunity. 

Douglas York Powers received his ultimate healing January 4th but will forever be missed by so many.
