Dear Kiki,Cole the Mbatia and Kimani family,

It's with great sadness that I find myself writing in memory of Dougie. I have known him since high school and he was a good friend to both my brother and I. Rather than be sad I chose to celebrate the jovial easy going Dougie that I have known.  May he continue to fly with the angels and tune pianos up there.

He dearly loved Kiki & Cole, may they both take comfort in the love and memories they had with Dougie.

Kiki - Dan and I are so very sorry for the loss of Doug.  We have so many fond memories of Fridays sharing a drink or two.  Doug was always so good to my mom when he visited, I will be forever grateful for his kindness toward her.  We will keep you and Cole in our prayers.   Much love to you.

Dougie was such a lovely soul and always fun to be around. What I remember is his Love  for Kiki and the way he embraced everyone he met/those around him.

Doug, You lived life to the fullest while you were here. I'm gonna miss our hugs on whatever stage we were on together. You always had a smile for me, thanks for that!!!! You were a great friend and I will miss you.

Some people just connect with you on a deeper level. I keep coming back to the thought that Doug made me a better person just by knowing him. With respect, admiration, and love, I miss you my friend.

I have not come to terms with…
I have not come to terms with this as yet but I will thank the Lord for the warm person that you were, full of life and one who was generous beyond measure. Thanks for always reaching out and sharing your good and low moments openly and without second thoughts. I shall miss those random calls and may the Lord watch over your family and grant them peace and comfort. Gone too soon bro! Keep playing those melodies with the Angels.
