Our heartfelt condolences to the Hollis family. We have been knowing Doug since the early seventies when he married our dearest friend, Charlene. He was business oriented, a pillar in the community and had a lovely personality that won the hearts of those who knew him. He will be sadly missed. May God continue to strengthen you with His love and protection.Ā We love you.

Our deepest condolences and sympathy to the Hollis family. Doug was a frat bruh, a great friend, and adopted member of the Sims family; we will be miss him. We will miss the joy of his deep thinking, his pondering of life and the way he freely shared his thought’s,Ā laughter and light. His spiritual presence will live within us. Memories of his laughter, spirited debates, and unique facial expressions will always bring a joyful smile.

Doug Hollis was a devoted leader, mentor, and friend who gave generously of his time and wisdom to others. I had the honor of recruiting Doug to serve on the Central Florida, Boy Scouts Executive Board. I have attached a few photos from a scouting camping trip we went on at Scouting High Adventure Ranch in New Mexico.

This is immeasurable grief for many of us who have thoroughly enjoyed the time Ā that we have shared with our brother Doug Hollis. It still does not seem real that he is no longer with us, except in the spirit of Omega! This was a brother who was not only appreciated, but loved by so many people. I’m sure my sorrow not only is shared by his wonderful family, but by all who had the pleasure of spending many years in his presence!Ā

Douglas was such an impactful man, with enormous contribution to his family and others he associated with.Ā  His special talent was very apparent as we were senior classmates at T. L. Weston High School.Ā  God bless and keep Douglas' family and friends.Ā  Clarence Johnson
