I am one of the many lives Doug had such a strong impact on. When he walked in the door of our SBC office at 111 Soledad, I knew that I was in for an education the moment he started to speak.  My admiration and respect for Doug only grew over the years as he, Carolyn, and Jeremy helped so many people professionally and personally.  Thank you, Doug, and thank you, Carolyn for sharing him with us!  Rest In Peace, my Friend.  Carry on, Jeremy!
I leaned on Doug’s knowledge and appreciated his humor. He will be missed. My Thoughts are with the family.

Cousin Doug is one of a kind. I admire that he never talked about the things he was doing and the influence he had. To hear the many comments and outpouring of love toward Cousin Carolyn and Jeremy is a representation of the impact he had on so many. We had the very best talks and conversations. Always had encouraging and impactful words to say to me. Will miss him and our texts about life and sports, particularly in the fall during College football season. Will be dearly missed. Prayers for Cousin Carolyn and Jeremy. Here for you and praying to our Lord Jesus for you. Love you.

I am so sorry Aunt Carolyn, I am a friend of his niece and Uncle Doug treated me like I was his own, he was a wonderful being and I witnessed his love for you and the world around him, may you find peace and comfort while you deal with this most difficult transition. -with love and prayers, Kathy
Rest In Peace, Doug. You will be missed by many. Condolences to the Heath family.
My condolences to my Aunt Carolyn and my cousin Jeremy. While I did not know my uncle Doug well but I understood that he was a good and blessed man. I pray that the heavenly father will be with the family through this difficult time.
My condolences 💐 and prayers to Carolyn, Jeremy and the entire Heath family!! Doug was a great leader at AT&T and Antioch. He will be missed!
I offer my sincerest condolences to the Heath family. Doug was a great guy, and he was loved and appreciated by so many.💐
I was so sorry to hear about Douglas's passing. He was such a wonderful and amazing  person. He was a great editor and friend. It was an honor and pleasure to work with Doug. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  God Bless, Lena Lopez
I don’t have many big words to describe Doug - he was still educating me;)  He was my father figure, mentor, and leader.  His family is of my utmost concern and I pledge to be there forever for Carolyn and Jeremy.  He loved them deep.  Thank you Doug- I see the last thing you texted was ‘AWESOME’.  You Sir- are awesomely missed. ;(
His words were always expected, words of love, thoughtfulness, and knowledge. He was the rock that kept us strong and his strengths included consistency. He always made it a point to interview people that could uplift our community with programs and knowledge, and was a man that always sought the truth in these times of great challenges against injustice.
