Douglas's obituary

Douglas Bolduc, age 63, passed away in his home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1962, and is predeceased by his beloved wife, Cathy Bolduc, who passed away on May 10, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with ALS. Doug devoted himself to being her full-time caretaker during her illness, exemplifying loyalty and love.

A passionate lover of Harley Davidson motorcycles and classic rock music, Doug lived life to the fullest, often adventuring through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine on his beloved bikes. He was also a devoted dog owner, with his cherished companions Sunday, Saturday, and Lucky by his side.

Doug loved his family dearly, with steadfast loyalty. He was survived by his sister, Pamela Bolduc Geisler, and her husband, Mark Geisler; his nieces Elizabeth Lesiszka, Kimberly VanWinkle, Crystal Corey, Melissa Geisler, Ashley Slason, Claudia Geisler, and Alexcy Geisler, and nephews Jason Harvey, Calvin Geisler, and Nathen Geisler. He is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews, his stepdaughters Michele Daicy McCurdy, and Kristen Daicy, and several longtime friends.

Douglas was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cathy Jordan Daicy Bolduc, father, George L. Bolduc; his mother, Faith E. Ames McLean; his stepfather, J. Douglas McLean; his sister, Charlene Marie Bolduc Slason; his brother, Bruce Lawrence Bolduc, and his nephew Tyler D. Slason.

Doug dedicated over 30 years to his craft as a master auto mechanic, and his most significant accomplishment was the unwavering love and commitment he showed to Cathy during her battle with ALS. In 2009, he moved with her from New Hampshire to Tucson, AZ, seeking the warmth and comfort she needed.

Doug’s legacy includes teaching his nieces and nephews valuable life lessons, from tying shoes to fishing, snowmobiling, and enjoying the great outdoors. He was a loyal friend with a heart of gold, known for his hearty laugh and love of cooking and sharing great meals. No weather was too cold for a t-shirt or too hot for a Harley ride; he embraced life with enthusiasm in every season.

A celebration of Doug’s life and burial in Sunapee, NH will follow at a later date.

Doug will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, adventure, and love.
