Douglas Joe Billnitzer was born February 14, 1950 in Seguin, Texas to Theodore and Marie Jo Billnitzer. Douglas graduated Southwest Texas University. He served and was honorably discharged after 4 years in the navy, before pursuing a passion in sports journalism and then later serving as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.
