Douglas's obituary

Douglas Charles Morton was the second of five children born on the 12th of June 1958 to Charles Frederick Morton and Sue Jane Fricker Morton in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1972, the family moved to Union City where Doug would spend his teenage years at Union City High School and a part of the graduating class of 1976. During high school he was active in sports- competing in varsity football, junior varsity basketball, and varsity track. He was an All-Conference football player his senior year. In his formative years he attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan where he was a fraternal brother of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon chapter and met several of his life long friends graduating with the class of 1980.

Doug was a happy go lucky person that many people leaned on, looked up to for advice and called upon when they needed a good laugh or needed to hear a good laugh. He was an avid adventurer, outdoors-man, proud father of two beautiful children Cody and Kailee; and never gave up on love finding his soul-mate Cindy who he married in 2016 in which their love spilled over to all that surrounded them. Doug was an entrepreneur that never stopped re-inventing himself and his business. He will be dearly missed by more people than he could ever imagine.
