I am sorry for this great loss to so many.

He is missed

There are few people who have impacted my life the way Doug did. He was a fellow Gemini and the best male friend I've ever had. I miss him so very much 💔

I met Doug on our very first day at Hope College. At a freshman mixer of all things. He was fun, handsome, caring, and a good friend. We lost touch after college but fortunately reconnected about a year ago via Facebook. I married my soul mate 4 years ago. I am glad he found his. I'll always remember that very first smile

I met Doug when he was still married to his kids' mother. We went to a group thing for a legal service that we were trying to sell. He seemed to always be smiling. He will be dearly missed. He was such a nice man.

If I had to tell you how many times Doug told me to get a website, I couldn't. It was a lot. After listening to him for years I finally broke down and did what he told me to do. I can't say I owe all of my success to Doug, but I sure do owe a lot of it. He was always so kind to me, made me laugh hysterically, and I think I did him, too. Our business conversations always took three times longer than they should have because we always ended up talking politics and current events....And neither of us would quit! I know Doug always had my back, and was so proud of what I was able to accomplish with his help, and I will always owe him for that. Our last meeting was one I will always remember. I got to buy him a frappuccino and lemon pound cake at Starbucks, which he said he had never had, but I think he was just being nice. We talked and laughed so loudly that we got looks. As we were leaving, I gave him some Veteran cards to put on cars secretly, and he said he knew exactly what to do with them, which made me happy. As I always did with Doug, I left that meeting feeling happy, positive, and ready to once again do what he told me to do with my business. I really look forward to making him proud over and over again.
So sorry, Chuck and Sue. My thoughts and prayers are with you 💕. Sandy Silsby
