Obituary

Douglas Scott Kane left us at sunrise on May 30, 2024.

Doug fought hard over the last few months, battling an aggressive form of cancer and it had come time for him to get the rest he so desired. Doug was a spiritual man and found comfort in knowing that he was going to cross over to heaven and join his mother, his father, his ancestors, and all the old friends that had passed before …

Personal note from BizBlossom

July 23, 2024
To My Dougie Kane Family,

We had an amazing celebration at the Music Communities Tribute to Dougie Magoo Kane. Alex’s Bar in Long Beach was packed yesterday to celebrate Dougie’s many contributions to the Oi! and Punk scenes. My heart is full of Dougie Love today - having had the opportunity to dance and sing those songs of my youth at the top of my lungs was very healing. It was an amazing effort and I am grateful to every musician who got up on the stage to honor Doug. And the ladies, my sisters, who whipped that merch booth into shape – my heartfelt gratitude for the support that allowed me to actually see the bands. Finally, I am so proud of Bobby who got up to speak, I know Dougie is too - #DougieBRAVE he was. You can check out his full speech in the memories page. If you were there, please share some pics in the memories page to share and spread the DougieLOVE to his family and fans around the world.

We raised over $6500 for the Doug Kane Memorial Bench Project. Our plan is to establish a memorial bench in Doug’s honor. It may be some time before it happens and we will keep you all posted here on the Ever Loved site.

We are figuring out how to set up online donations specific for the bench project and orders for the super awesome memorial t-shirts. So stayed tuned.

Much Love & Gratitude to all who attended to honor Dougie.

As we tend to our broken hearts, we wanted to share this memorial page we made to honor Doug Kane. I told him I will try my hardest to focus on the love and gratitude I hold for our nearly 40 years of friendship rather than on the sadness and grief over his untimely transition. Dougie was a great storyteller and we'd love to hear your Dougie stories or see your favorite picture - Please consider sharing a story or a pic on the memorial tab. We will provide updates on the memorial as it comes together.
Much love and many blessings for this journey we find ourselves on,
Biz Eastlund
