Doug's obituary

Doug Brown was born in Arcata, California in 1943. He lived a full life in the beautiful little town of Edom, where he created what is now a thriving art community. Almost 50 years ago Doug opened Potters Brown. Not long after, he started the Edom Art Festival, a longstanding art show in East Texas. He was known for his witty humor, kind heart, creative flair, and colorful overalls. He left behind his beloved wife, fellow artist, and best friend, Beth Brown.
His community, that he created, mourns the loss of a great big heart and is inspired to keep his legacy alive through art, mentoring, and love of thy neighbor. He will be deeply missed.
