Background
As a closeted queer and all-around kind individual, Dotson's life was a testament to the power of embracing one's true self. They were a member of a local lgbtq youth support group, but due to social restrictions he was unable to attend frequent support meetings and get the community support needed.
The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. We provide information & support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, all year round.
More about Dotty:
Music was Dotson's passion and solace, with favorites including Mayhem, Crywank, and Rex Orange County. They were also a lover of art, particularly Metal. Dotson cherished the simple pleasures of life, such as going on walks, singing, and phone calls. Their preferred methods of staying active were walking and lifting weights.
The Turntable Coffee was among their favorite local spots, and they found joy in the colors yellow and purple. Their kind, caring, and understanding personality endeared them to many. Dotson believed in appreciating the little things in life and often shared this sentiment with others.
One of Dotson's most significant accomplishments was their music. All who had the privilege of experiencing it were moved by its authenticity and emotion. Their legacy leaves us with a wealth of music and memories, an enduring testament to their unique spirit.
As we mourn the loss of Dotson, we also celebrate their life, remembering them for the incredible individual they were. Our world is a little less vibrant without them, but the gift of their existence will continue to inspire and comfort us all. Contribute to The Trevor Project
