Dorothy "Dottie" Rick gained her angel wings on November 12, 2022 at her home in Daytona Beach, FL. Dorothy was 84 years old. 

Dorothy was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She retired from the medical field after taking care of others for many years at Somerset Medical Center, an avid animal enthusiast and a lover of the summer months & beach. She even moved to Florida in 1997 to be closer to her favorite surroundings. Not a day went by where Dorothy didn't talk about how much her family meant to her. Dorothy is survived by her children, Cathy Diamente of Florida, Jimmy Rick of Bound Brook, & Michael Rick of Middlesex; grandchildren, Nicole Germano, Michelle Cox, Chris Rick, Tom Diamente, Sam Rick, & Ryan Burgess, as well as countless friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, former husband Richard Rick Sr, and son Richard Rick Jr. Services are still being organized, but her ashes will be scattered per her request in Daytona Beach, Fl where she felt most at home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to your local animal shelter or rescue organization, an avid passion that Dorothy cared for.
