A seventh child, Martha Joseph, was born prematurely and didn't survive. Dorothy is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 21 of her 22 nephews and nieces.

Dorothy lived in Buena Park for almost 52 years, helping in the local schools attended by her children, and worshiping at St. Pius X (Buena Park) and St. Paul of the Cross (La Mirada) Catholic Churches, the latter at which she and Joe ran the teen club for many years. Dorothy loved being a Wife and Mother and is adored by her progeny.

Dorothy will be cremated, to be interred later when her husband Joseph also dies. A Rosary will be held November 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in La Mirada, California (14020 Foster Road) with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30 am. A reception will follow at approximately 11:45 am in Gannon Hall, also at St. Paul of the Cross.
