Dorothy L. Hawkins, age 79, of Hughesville, passed away on January 27, 2024 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. after an unexpected cancer diagnosis.

She was born on October 4, 1944 to Mary and Benjamin Vermillion. Dorothy graduated high school, began her career with the US Census, and married her late husband Grover 'Sonny' Hawkins. The two had four children and later planted their roots in Hughesville with their custom built home. They enjoyed …
