Mickey's obituary

Dorothy "Mickey" Davidson, as she was known to friends, passed away March 21, 2024.

    She is survived by her son, Matthew, and her beautiful granddaughters Ashleigh and Haley; brothers Hal, and Bo (Sheila); as well as sisters Mary Patricia "Skip" and Margaret Ann "Peggy". She was preceeded in death by both her parents Edward Hal and Patricia Florence, and brother George Clark "Tiny" (Pam).

    Services are being held at the external columnbarium at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, in Gardendale, AL on Tuesday April 9th at 2pm. 

      Mickey was a giving and kind hearted caregiver at her core. A very social person who loved being around people, especially those she loved most. She was in the nursing profession for 35+ years in both hospital and home health arenas and had true vested interested in each of her patients, and co-workers, many whom became friends throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kind character, quick wit, and love for her family. 

As such, she has requested in lieu of flowers that you please send any donations to:

There will be a gathering afterward to celebrate her life, at the Gardendale Civic Center. Any and all who knew her and their families are encouraged to attend.
