Dorothy Alice Jones (80) of Gardner Ma died after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease on June 20,2023 at Wachusett Manor nursing home.

She was born in Winchendon on June 10,1943-the daughter of late Alfred W Jones and Mildred (Fales) Jones Aalto. Dotty

was an active member of Assembly of God church. She taught Sunday school while living in New Hampshire. She enjoyed living and working on a farm and also worked in a New Hampshire nursing home.

In her younger years she built furniture working at Heywood-Wakefield Company in Gardner Ma. Years later, when the company closed and the building was turned in to apartments, she found herself living in the assisted living section. Moving on to Wachusett Manor nursing home, she served as president of resident council for many years. She enjoyed puzzles, crafts, crocheting, and gardening.

Dorothy leaves two children, Chester Morse and his wife Rose of Fitchburg and Kelly Rowell of Fitchburg, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had two brothers, Stuart and Howard Jones preceding her in death. No funeral will be held. A private memorial and burial will take place.
