Doris's obituary
Doris Lynn Worden (Stace) went Home to Thy Lord on December 14, 2022, at age 65.
Doris was born on May 15th, 1957, as the youngest of 4 girls, in LA County, California. Doris was raised and lived in California for close to 30 years. Doris loved the aviation industry and worked with several airlines and airline maintenance companies. Starting with MGM airlines and then on to several other maintenance groups, her aircraft career gave her the opportunity to travel the world. In 1988, she traveled to Tucson to take a position with Hamilton Aviation. While at Hamilton, she obtained her A&P mechanics license and maintained it. An accomplishment not met by many women in the industry. Following Hamilton, Doris went on to work at Lockheed Aerospace. In recent years, Doris enjoyed working in retail, and she enjoyed the employee discounts even more.
Doris met her husband, Fred, in 1989 while at Hamilton Aviation. They were married on June 24, 1993, and were blessed with their sons, Christopher Michael Worden on February 15, 1996, and David Garrett Worden on December 15, 1998. Doris lived with Fred and the boys in their beautiful home in northwest Tucson. Doris was a dedicated and loving wife & mother, her world revolved around her boys and Fred.
Doris had a zest for life. Doris had lifelong friendships, and she ensured that these friendships continued. As the go-to planner, she would organize outings for all. She was also an avid LA Chargers fan and would not miss a game unless it was an emergency.
Doris had an unwavering faith in God. She was baptized later in life and built many friendships with fellow men and women of faith.
Doris joins her mom, Laura Ethel Brown, in heaven. She is survived by her husband Fred, children Christopher and David, stepchildren Janel (spouse David) and Michelle (spouse Kenny), grandchildren Mackenzie, Kamryn and Zachary; Sisters Annette Meegan (spouse Rick) and children (Kelly, Matt and Lorie), Cathy Sudol and children (Jennifer, Johnny, Joey) Bette Stace and son (Jason), countless extended family, lifelong girlfriends as well as many other numerous friends & co-workers.
Doris was loved by so many. Her positive outlook, generous spirit, and kind heart left an impression wherever she went. She never met a stranger that didn't quickly become a friend; she had an incredible work ethic, and she always went out of her way to help anyone in need and will forever be remembered
