Mrs. Doris Powell Swann, age 94, died at Port Charlotte, Florida, on December 16, 2021. She was a native of Vidalia, Georgia, and had also lived in Limestone, Arlington, Macon, Unadilla, Athens, and Vidalia. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where her husband, Dr. Fred L. Swann, pastored there until his death. She was also a retired dental assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Fred L. Swann; parents, Remer and Alta Powell; sisters, Lois Stewart, Lottie Mae Adams; brothers, John E. Powell, Remer Powell; and a great-granddaughter, Carson Bailey Cole. 

 Her family includes one son, David L. Swann and wife Kathy of Port Charlotte, Florida; two daughters, Freddie S. Crawford and husband Bill of Watkinsville, Georgia, and Susan S. Poznick and husband Jim Steverson of Greenwood, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Cherie Miller, Scott Cole, Traci Swann, Brien Swann, Blake Meharg, Jordan Poznick, and Taylor Poznick; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and beloved sister-in-law, Carole Swann Rogers. 

 The graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, at Pinecrest Cemetery at 12:00 noon with Dr. Reed Crumbliss (a long-time family friend) officiating. 

 The family will gather at the cemetery at 11:30 to greet friends just prior to the service at noon.
