Doris Piper passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022 at the age of 99. Doris was born on July 1, 1923 in Canton, Ohio to Romanian immigrants Mike and Zanovia (Ungurean) Cantor. She graduated from Shalersville schools where she was a star basketball player. She met the love of her life, Gus Piper, while on a double date rollerskating, and eloped and married on September 4, 1942 in Kentucky. Thereafter, she went to live in …
