Doris Helen Morones, a much-loved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home on November 4, 2020. She was born January 4, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, and resided in Danville, California for the past 16 years, having moved from Fremont in 2004.

Doris had a wonderful life and was well loved by so many friends and family. Doris was an avid gardener who love attending to her red, trumpet roses. She enjoyed her walks around the Livery in Danville. In the last few years of her life, she rescued her cat, Will. Will was a constant source of love and companionship for her. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Doris was preceded in death by William Patrick Morones Sr., her husband of 54 years; she is survived by her brother Donald Sorak of Chicago, sister Dolores Hatzis of Woodside; son William Patrick Morones Jr. and wife Danelle of Danville; daughter Candace Ann Rathbun and husband Tim of Danville; daughter Michelle Lee Devine and husband Keith of Danville; grandsons Ryan Lucas, William Devine and John Rathbun; granddaughters Michelle Morones, Kristina Gange, Alex O’Drobinak, Lauren and Olivia Devine and Katie and Paige Rathbun; nephews Jimmy and Georgie Hatzis and niece Cindy Ward.

A memorial service was held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette CA on November 13, 2020 at 1:00pm.
