Georgene's obituary

D. Georgene Roebuck, 88, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026.

Georgene was born and raised in Montana before leaving to attend nursing school in Washington, where she met her husband, Jim Roebuck, who was stationed nearby in the Air Force. She went on to become a registered nurse and dedicated much of her career to hospice care. They shared a life built on love, faith, and family.

To know Georgene was to love her. She had a kind and gentle heart and carried herself with humility, grace, and patience. She was deeply caring, incredibly sweet, and always put her family before her own needs. She had a giving heart and found joy in caring for others.

Georgene was a devout Christian who found joy in her faith and the beauty of nature. She loved camping, hiking, kayaking, and being outdoors, and was always up for an adventure—even skydiving at the age of 70. She also loved butterflies, singing, and spending time with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Roebuck, and her son, James Roebuck Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Alisa, Susan, Felina, and Corina; her grandchildren, Michelle, Brandy, Brendon, Melissa, Krystal, Kristi, and Devin; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She will be forever remembered for her love of nature, her giving heart, and her steady, calm presence.
