Doris's obituary
Doris passed away on February 27th, at 7:18 PM. She was surrounded by family and friends in her last days, and went peacefully.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda and Kelley, and her three brothers, Glen, Steve, and David Downs. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Sage, Milo, Ember, Jon Howl, and Kari, who she loved dearly.
She was passionate, humorous, and crafty all her life, and while she wasn’t able to do everything she wanted before the end, she made the best of it.
Doris worked tirelessly for the people she cared for, and gave her entire heart and soul to her many projects. She was a great teacher, and enjoyed having the company of friends around for craft night, and gab.
The most important thing to her in life was her family, and the memories made with each of them. Her children recently found a sign in her house that said, “The important things in life are not things”, and that sums her up perfectly.
Her funeral service/celebration of life, will be on March 10th at 11:30 AM. The address is as follows: 5750 S. Nena Way, and is at the Murray Church House. We will be meeting in the Relief Society room, and the program for the funeral will be available there.
