Doreen Theresa Goulet of Fort St. John, B.C. passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020 at age 72 surrounded by family in FSJ hospital after a hard-fought battle with a long-term illness. She was caring, strong and very loyal. She was the 7th of 10 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor & George Goulet; 3 siblings- Priscilla, Kenny & Roger; nieces & nephew - Sabrina Desjarlais, Dora Descoteaux and Michael Goulet. She is survived by 6 siblings - Arnold, Laurence, Dorothy, Howard, Shirley & Sharon; her 3 children - Sonya (Chris Browning) Goulet, Donnie (Cheralee) Goulet & Barbara (Torkel) Eliassen; 11 grandchildren, including nieces, nephews and their children.

Doreen was charismatic, loved music, her family and meeting new people. She could easily meet someone new and make them smile whether in a checkout line, the Bingo hall, the Friendship Centre or with her nurses. She enjoyed family gatherings and her home was always open to those who needed a place to stay, a listening ear, or to share her hangover stew.

Deeply thankful to all the nurses and doctors at FSJ and Dawson Creek Hospital. Thank you to our family and friends for all your support - especially her sister Dorothy, nephew Kelly Shular, and brother & sister-in-law Laurence & Bhell. Cremation will take place, there will be no celebration or funeral of Doreen's life due to COVID. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Fort St. John Friendship Centre (250-785-8566).
